Bryan Copeland and Luna J. have been writing and making music in Springfied since their inception in 2008. Their music has a vast range of influences; classic rock, blues, funk, jazz, and pop. Most people describe them as a mix of John Mayer and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with a hint of jazz thrown in. But, in reality, they have their own unique sound that is difficult to qualify.
Luna has shared the stage with some big names and Grammy nominated and winning musicians from different eras over their career, including:
The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Robert Cray (Multiple Grammy winner, blues hall of famer, Eric Clapton/John Mayer/BB King collaborator), Jake Wesley Rogers, Maxwell Hughes (Grammy nominee, as a member of The Lumineers), Jason Ricci (one of the best blues harp players ever, played 2015 Rock and roll hall of fame induction with Zach Brown and Tom Morello), Jackson Stokes (tours with the Allman Brothers revival), and many others. They have also been featured on local and regional radio and TV countless times; from Ozarks Live performances, to the Emmy winning The Mystery Hour, and radio stations from Poplar Bluff to Lake of the Ozarks.
Bryan and the band are known for their versatility, going from 3 minute pop songs to 10 minute blues and funk jams in back to back songs. And they are known for their own original songs rather than covers.
